A Goal to Give Back – By Anonymous
We made the decision to homeschool our children. The idea began due to COVID and the way public education was headed, in our opinion. We have come to love the leniency we have with curriculum and what education looks like for our kids.
As far as their health care, we have had a positive experience. I am aware that this might be due to our need to read the finest print. Not all parents have the ability to be as thorough as we are.
Sometimes it seems that some programs and institutions come off as predatory, praying on the lack of understanding of individuals and families. When people are stuck in the rut, these programs are a lifeline to them. Difficult jargon often goes ignored or overlooked, and it seems that these programs are aware of the issue… It doesn’t matter how many great resources our community has if parents can’t understand how or when to use them.
In an attempt to better help the socialization of our family and to better serve our community, we have created the vision of a traveling art studio. Although we are in the early stages, I am hopeful and excited to bring something to our area that is affordable, family-friendly, and easily accessible!
