New Early Childhood Resource Hub Launches for Ogle, Whiteside, and Lee Counties
April 25, 2025
Families and caregivers in Ogle, Whiteside, and Lee Counties now have a new tool at their fingertips to help them navigate early childhood resources.
In collaboration with the Sauk Valley STARS Early Childhood Coalition, Birth to Five Illinois: Region 47 Family and Action Councils have launched the O.W.L. Early Childhood Resource Hub — a free, easy-to-use, online platform designed to connect local families to programs, events, services, and child care information.
The O.W.L. Hub — which stands for Ogle, Whiteside, and Lee — is an interactive website aimed at streamlining access to essential early childhood resources in the region. Families can explore offerings from all three counties, stay engaged through a growing Facebook community, and make use of a comprehensive Child Care Toolkit. The toolkit includes vital information and a direct connection to the regional Child Care Resource and Referral Agency.
“Our goal is simple,” organizers said. “Make it easy for families to find what they need, when they need it.”
The O.W.L. Hub is available now at https://bit.ly/m/owlearlychildhood.
Community members and service providers are encouraged to help spread the word. A digital promotional packet is available to support outreach efforts, including flyers for posting and social media-ready content. Printed materials can also be requested.
For updates and community engagement, families can also follow the O.W.L. Early Childhood Facebook page.
Together, regional partners aim to build a stronger, more connected early childhood support network across Region 47.
