Parents and caregivers looking for a fun, relaxed way to connect with their children — and with each other — are invited to the Community Connections: Play & Learn event on Monday, Aug. 25, at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison St.

The free family-friendly program runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with the flexibility to “come when you can, leave when you need.” Designed for families with young children, the morning will feature:

  • Crafts for kids

  • Play activities

  • Snacks

  • Casual conversations

  • Parent connections

  • Information on local progress and opportunities in early childhood education, plus how families can get involved

The event provides a welcoming space to play, learn, and build connections, while offering resources that support early childhood growth in the Sauk Valley.

Community Connections: Play & Learn is presented in partnership with Birth to Five Illinois and the Sauk Valley STARS Early Childhood Education Coalition.
