Champaign County Hosts Listening Session on Youth Mental Health Services

Champaign County families gathered March 23 for a community listening session focused on mental and behavioral health services for children and families, hosted by Birth to Five Illinois.

The event, held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library, invited parents and caregivers to share their experiences accessing care for young children. Participants discussed challenges they have faced, as well as services and resources that have been helpful.

Organizers said the session was designed to better understand gaps in care and identify ways to strengthen connections to local mental and behavioral health resources.
