Now that we’ve moved into March, we have had a few glimpses of nicer weather and we are ready for it to stay. Find a comfortable spot and let’s delve into the exciting activities and initiatives currently underway.
First, we’re thrilled to share that the Snow Pageant committee is again holding an Easter Egg fundraiser. Sit back and relax while Easter Bunny (Snow Royalty) magic happens overnight in your yard! Candy- and trinket-filled eggs will be placed in your yard while you rest up and prepare for the day’s festivities. Egg bundles come in 15 ($20), 20 ($25), 25 ($30) and 30 ($35), with custom bundles available upon request. Email Tiffany or Sheridan at ihsnowroyalty@gmail.com to get started! Be sure to include your address, number of eggs and any special requests. Payments accepted via checks to Imagine Hillsboro Snow Pageant or via Venmo at Tiffany-Reitz-6. Thank you for your support!
Imagine Hillsboro is undergoing some “re-mapping”! We are again grateful to work with the talented Gisele Hamm and her team from WIU to form a steering committee. This committee is working diligently to analyze our goals, review our progress and craft new objectives based on our community’s current needs. Stay tuned for more exciting updates regarding this important initiative.
Just a friendly reminder that the highly anticipated Princess Ball is fast approaching! Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 29, when this magical event will take place at The Event Center of Montgomery County from 6 to 8 p.m. If you haven’t already, we urge you to register at imaginehillsboro.com / events-registration. This is an event you won’t want to miss, filled with enchantment and joy for all ages.
Our Parks, Education, Volunteer and Events committees have been active lately, with regular meetings continuing to be held. If you are interested in joining any of these committees or keeping up with their happenings, please fill out a form at imaginehillsboro.com / subscribe.
The Education Committee would like to thank Amy Robinson from Birth to Five Illinois for attending a recent meeting and sharing updates regarding important legislative work happening in our very own backyard. Recently, the volunteer group has put in a dock and cleaned areas around the kid’s fishing pond at the north marina. When you have a chance, go check out their hard work!
The events committee is currently in the planning stages of re-working our beloved Farmer’s Market with a new name and location for this upcoming season. You won’t want to miss this exciting refresh, so make sure to come back for our May article!
