On August 18th and August 20th, EC*REACH had the pleasure of presenting at the Birth to Five Illinois Region 1-A council meetings. Interim Executive Director, John Q. Easton shared findings from our most recent publication, The Shifting Demographics of Chicago’s Young Children, that illustrated the changes in population of young children throughout different regions and community areas in the city. Additionally, Partner Engagement Manager, Jordan Herron discussed preliminary themes discovered through the activities and conversations from the pre-K mixed delivery community councils in Austin, South Lawndale, and West Ridge and the focus groups. We thank our partners at Birth to Five Illinois for hosting us and we are excited to assist in informing the amazing work they do.
