The Support Every Family Deserves – By Mallory Pawlak (Mom)
We reached out to an early childhood education program after my daughter’s hearing test showed she wasn’t meeting language milestones. At the time, I was overwhelmed—raising two-year-old twins while working full time and unsure where to turn. I made the call, and when they called me back and offered to come to our home, I felt instant relief.
They didn’t just help my children with speech, OT [occupational therapy], and developmental needs—they supported me. As a new mom, I didn’t fully understand milestones, and having professionals guide us made all the difference. Knowing my twins were being helped in our own home brought comfort and peace during a very stressful time.
Early childhood education lifted a huge weight off our family while giving my children exactly what they needed. By age three, both twins qualified for their local school program and began attending on their third birthday, continuing to receive therapies in a supportive environment. Although sending my three-year-olds on a bus felt overwhelming, the teachers’ early reassurance confirmed we had made the right choice.
Today, my daughter has aged out of nearly all her IEP [Individualized Education Plan] services, and my son is thriving in speech and language—something we once feared might never happen. We still see their therapists in the community, a reminder of the life-changing support that helped our children grow. This program didn’t just help our kids—it gave our family hope and a future we once weren’t sure was possible.
