I started my journey with Birth to Five Illinois in 2022. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I first started. I loved learning about other people's experiences. I am a NICU [Neonatal Intensive Care Unit] mom of three. I learned very quickly that everyone's parenting journey is unique.

Finding resources in our area can be difficult. I am extremely grateful that I got to be a part in helping create the Who's Whoo resource. I feel like that is going to be a great resource for families.

I enjoyed my time with Birth to Five Illinois. My voice and opinions were heard and taken into consideration. Being a part of the Family Council reminded me that my voice still matters.
