How to Navigate Accessing Services - By The Wiley Family

The concept of Mental and Behavioral Health was new to our young family. However, I saw that our oldest son was showing signs that he needed guidance I didn't feel we could give to him. I had no idea where to look for counseling services aside from "googling it". So that's what I did.

Although we felt like the services he was getting did make a difference, as soon as the bill came in the mail, I quickly realized this wasn't something we could afford. I had no idea insurance would deny such necessary service. I'm learning now how to navigate that world a little better, but it is still very overwhelming. I'm hoping we can find a service for him and for any and all of my kids if they need it, sooner rather than later.

The services my family needs most is access to someone who can guide me through this process from scheduling to affordable care without feeling inadequate. I know our options are limited in our area, but at this point, the ability to go to counseling services at all seems like a far-fetched dream.
